3 x Summer!

Do you want it, too?
That summer feeling?
Right now?

I might just have the right thing for you…

1. Juicy, fruity and filling (wholegrain) breakfast muffins with blueberries:
the kind that I can enjoy with a cup of tea in the morning, when I’m not really hungry yet, but that I can also add to my children’s lunch boxes for their school lunch.
The recipe is perfect for just that, and both kids love them!

 2. Summer stands above all for all things light, uncomplicated and light – this is exactly how I want to live!
The very simple garland made of fabric scraps is finished in a few minutes – and in my opinion expresses precisely this feeling of effortlessness.
Pick fabrics that match your interior decoration and hang the garland above your bed, couch or desk!

3. Super quick and very delightful hair accessories with a wow factor:
a few stray feathers tucked behind a hair band – done.
Not only perfect for attending a festival, but also for going out in the evenings:
Summer allows you to do so!

Blueberry Breakfast Muffins

5 and ¼ oz blueberries
½ cup wholegrain flour
½ cup wheat flour
½ cup cane sugar
2 Tbsp rolled oats
1 pinch of salt
1 Tbsp baking powder
½ Tbsp cinnamon
1 Tbsp flax seed
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ cup vegetable oil (e.g. canola oil)
1 and 1/3 cup buttermilk (if you don’t happen to have buttermilk at home, you can substitute it with plain yogurt)
1 egg

1.) Mix all dry ingredients, i.e. flour, sugar, rolled oats, flax seed, cinnamon, salt and baking powder, then add blueberries.

2.) In a second bowl whisk together oil, buttermilk, vanilla extract and egg. Then add this mixture slowly to the dry ingredients using a wooden spoon, mix.

3.) Distribute into cupcake liners and bake for approx. 20 minutes at 400°F (conventional oven). Sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar or a sugar and cinnamon mix before serving.

For the garland:

Take a piece of fabric and make little cuts with the help of fabric scissors.
Now put aside the scissors and tear the fabric. Tie the fabric strips to a long piece of string, leaving some room between them, then hang the whole thing up .

I love, love, love the picture of Laura wearing the crown of feathers!

Love
Joanna
