10 tips for a week-end in February!

Dear lovers of forests and fields, this coming February week-end is perfect for…

1. ... a huge shawl by BeckSöndergaard.
What’s most difficult about it is picking just one color:
One suitable for spring or rather a plain-colored one?
One with stars or a patterned one?
They are all pretty.

2. ... delicate branches in glass vases.
They will last much longer than cut flowers, are cheaper and make you look forward to spring!
A great selection of them is available at farmers’ markets and flower shops right now.

3. ... the best poem ever for (German-speaking) men with beards: rostrotkupferbraunbronze.

4. ... a bit of anticipation for the new season in the shape of new purses:
this backpack for Noelle, and this clutch for me!

5. ... browsing thrift stores.
It’s going to be a little while until the start of the flea market season – if you crave it really badly, you can visit a charity’s thrift store nearby (check for locations online).
In my opinion there is nearly no bigger source of inspiration for DIY ideas than looking for and finding old treasures – I will show you soon what I found today!

6. ... "Of course I'm a feminist. Everybody should be a feminist." – Noelle’s and my new favorite phrase.
We use it at least 5 times a day, when it’s perfectly fitting, and when it isn’t fitting at all.
Because nobody enunciates it more beautifully than  Caroline de Maigret.

7. ... one of the most inspiring books that I’ve read in a long time (although I haven’t quite finished it yet):
For anyone dreaming of becoming an entrepreneur – ideal.
For anyone who already is an entrepreneur – big boost for your motivation and the pleasure in what you do!

By the way, my husband who has visited 15 African countries, says it is exactly the type of music they play in Ghana ;).

9. ... another piece of advice for anybody who loves simple design:
this lamp is as lovely as a decorative piece on top of a dresser as on your desk.
"Once we have moved to our new home” it will live in Ben’s room.

10. ... the construction site.
Oh, darn it, that one’s just for me.
You lucked out this time, right…
